Here's a few tips I usually teach to my students when they ask about writing a CV. Hope they help!
DO
Tailor your CV to the job. Only include relevant information for the position you are applying
Include relevant contact details: Name, Address, Phone numbers and Email Addresses
Use easy to read headings and dot points where possible
Answer any essential criteria
Include two - three referees (make sure you contact them before you put them on your CV and ask thier permission!)
Check your English (or have it checked!) Sloppy English or CVs full of errors do not look professional and will not be taken seriously by your employer
DON'T
Use silly font
Include irrelevant material
Write an essay
Hand in a CV with incorrect grammar
