Naturally it depends on the city you are in but overall temperatures in Australia are what we call balmy and support our love of the outdoors.
Sydney boasts an average of 25 degrees Celsius (77F) over the summer – which lasts from about November to March. Temperatures can get hotter and sometimes February can top 40 Degrees Celsius, but this is generally followed by a monsoonal storm which cools everything down in the evening so you can sleep. In winter Sydney averages the mid - high teens, so bring a jacket but don’t expect anything too cold. Generally, even in the middle of winter you will have to travel about 4 – 5 hours from the heart of Sydney to see any snow.
Sydney enjoys well over 300 sunny days per year, so it is no surprise there is so much outdoor activity. Take advantage of the over 8 hours of sunlight in the summer months and go for a walk to the park or a dip in the ocean as a well-earned study break.
